Devine could be out for a year |
All Blacks scrum-half Steve Devine will miss all of the 2004 international rugby season because of a knee injury. Australia-born Devine, who plays for Auckland Blues, snapped the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a Super 12 match on 16 April.
He was ruled out for the remainder of the tournament, but team officials have said he could miss the next 12 months.
That will see him miss the All Blacks Tri-Nations campaign, a home series against England and a European tour.
