New Zealand coach Graham Henry is set to employ up to 12 specialists and former players to work with the team ahead of the Tests against England.

Henry, who has been impressed with how England have used specialists, said he would not be restricting his search to New Zealanders.

"Players do not get the chance to discuss their game with those who were a success in the recent past," he said.

"I want to do it as part of the build-up to the Test programme."
