Six new candidates have been added to the shortlist for the vacant South Africa coach job by SA Rugby. They include Super 12 coaches Rudy Joubert (Bulls) and Gert Smal (Stormers).
Also on the list are Carel du Plessis (Western Province, Currie Cup), Pieter de Villiers (Falcons), Jerome Paarwater (Western Province, Vodacom Cup) and national under-21 coach Jake White.
The new Springbok coach will be announced in February.
The list was expanded after Blue Bulls coach Heyneke Meyer withdrew earlier this week and former Springbok coach Andre Markgraaff was appointed convenor of the national selection committee.
That left just two remaining candidates - national sevens coach Chester Williams and Border Bulldogs coach Dumisani Mhani.
Markgraaff will oversee the coaching structures of SA Rugby in the interim, as well as sit on the assessment panel to appoint the new coach.
