Lomu to tour with Baa-Baas

New Zealand's Jonah Lomu is set to tour with the Barbarians this summer as the team take on England, Scotland and Wales in the space of a week.

But Lomu's participation still depends on the form of his Super 12 side Hurricanes, who can still qualify for the final of the competition which takes place on 25 May, the day before the Barbarians play England.

"Whenever I get asked to play once again for Barbarians I consider it a privilege and accept to play at every opportunity," Lomu said.

"It also gives me the chance to visit my favourite part of the world, where I also receive a great deal of support from the fans, which makes it extra special.

"At the moment I'm concentrating 100% to help the Hurricanes make the Super 12 top four."

Lomu has played three times for the Baa-Baas, including last year's 43-29 win over England.

England's most capped international, Jason Leonard, Iain Balshaw and the uncapped Saracens forward Kieran Roche, have been added to the Barabarians squad.

The squad will be coached by former Australia coach Rod Macqueen, assisted by former France centre Philippe Sella.

On their last tour of Britain the Baa-Baas won all three games, beating England 43-29, Wales 40-38 and Scotland 74-31.

After opening up against England, the team play Wales on 29 May followed by Scotland on 1 June.

Squad so far: Jonah Lomu (Wellington Hurricanes & New Zealand), Abdelatif Benazzi (Saracens & France), Christian Cullen (Wellington Hurricanes & New Zealand), Matt Perry (Bath & England), Thomas Castaignede (Saracens & France), Braam van Straaten (Leeds Tykes & South Africa), Rassie Erasmus (Free State Cats & South Africa), Agustin Pichot (Bristol Shoguns & Argentina), Adrian Garvey (Newport & South Africa), Thinus Delport (Natal Sharks & South Africa), SimonTaylor (Edinburgh Rugby & Scotland), Trevor Leota (London Wasps & Western Samoa), Christian Califano (Auckland Blues & France), Jason Leonard (Harlequins & England), Iain Balshaw (Bath & England) and Kieran Roche (Saracens).
