![]() | Wednesday, 12 December, 2001, 12:24 GMT Wasps in talks with Wycombe ![]() Adams Park: Could host Premiership rugby Officials from Wasps are to meet with counterparts at Wycombe Wanderers to discuss sharing their Adams Park home. Wanderers chairman Ivor Beeks confirmed his club have been approached by the Zurich Premiership strugglers to sound out the possibility of a groundshare. He said: "The board agreed to listen to Wasps' proposals and arranged to discuss the matter fully at a future board meeting. "Nothing has been agreed, and we understand Adams Park is one of several stadiums Wasps are looking at. "In common with most clubs at our level, Wycombe Wanderers are looking at ways of increasing their income. "However, we can assure our supporters that no decision will be taken until we are satisfied that the arrangement would be beneficial to the club in every respect." Wasps currently share Loftus Road with Queens Park Rangers who, like Wycombe, are in the Nationwide Division Two. But QPR are negotiating to share their west London home with Fulham next season while the Barclaycard Premiership side redevelop their Craven Cottage ground. Chairman Chris Wright, who plans to sell his holding in Rangers but remain in control of Wasps, sees Adams Park as the perfect place to relocate his rugby club. | See also: Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Other top Rugby Union stories: Links to more Rugby Union stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
