Roff gets to grips with New Zealand's Chris Jack
Australian Tri-Nations hero Joe Roff has signed a one-year contract with top French side Biarritz.

But any plans the 25-year-old winger had to take a break from international rugby have gone on hold.

If he is the best left winger Australia has, he'll be selected

After Australia's last-gasp win over New Zealand on Saturday, Roff indicated he planned to take a break from international rugby.

But he has been informed that he could be called up for Australia's tour of Canada and Europe in November.

Wallaby coach Eddie Jones said: "The IRB's [International Rugby Board's] directive is that Biarritz must free him to play.

"If he is the best left winger Australia has, he'll be selected."

Roff, who has won 67 Test caps, has played a big part in his nation's recent success, scoring vital tries during a hard-fought series victory against the Lions in July.
