Wigan centre or second row Phil Bailey has agreed a new deal to keep him at the Warriors for the 2010 season.

The 29-year-old Australian, whose three-year contract ended last month, had missed the last two months of the 2009 season with an Achilles injury.

"I am delighted to have signed a new contract having thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Warriors," he said.

"The club have been great to me, I love the town and the fans have been fantastic," he added.

Wigan's new coach Michael Maguire said: "Phil is a great player to have in your squad and I am pleased he is with us for 2010 and possibly beyond.

"He is wholehearted and committed and has a great work ethic."

Bailey joined the Warriors from Australian side Cronulla for the 2007 season. He has played three times for Australia.
