Mathers was sent off twice in 2008 |
Wigan full-back Richard Mathers has been handed a two-match ban after being found guilty of tripping an opponent. The former Leeds player was sin-binned for the offence on winger Dave Halley during Sunday's shock Super League defeat by Wakefield at the JJB Stadium. Mathers will miss Wigan's next two matches, away to Hull FC on Friday and at home to Castleford a week later. The 25-year-old, who was the only player to be sent off twice last season, was also fined him 300.
