Hodgson made 18 Super League appearances for the Giants last season
Warrington full-back Brett Hodgson says Tony Smith's side have what it takes to challenge for more honours this season.
The 32-year-old, who joins from Huddersfield, says the Wolves are increasing their quality each season.
"The club's always improving and you saw that last year," Hodgson told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"There's no way in the world I am the cherry on the top, but if I can improve the side in any way by a minimal amount then I'll be happy."
After winning back-to-back Challenge Cups in 2009 and 2010, Warrington will hope to add the Super League title to their list of honours this season after a third placed finish last term.
The Australian, born in Liverpool, New South Wales, hopes the squad at the Halliwelll Jones Stadium has the right mix of youth and experience to become a threat for Super League glory.
"I think the club is in a healthy position at the moment," Hodgson added. "I think there are plenty of young kids coming through who are leaning from the more experienced guys.
"The club is in a brilliant position and I think Tony Smith and the other coaching staff are taking the club forward.
