Johnson played in five Grand Finals |
Warrington have confirmed the signing of Great Britain second-rower Paul Johnson from Super League champions Bradford on a three-year contract. The 27-year-old, who has won 13 caps, has not played since May because of injury and illness, and his Bulls deal was up at the end of the season.
"I've enjoyed my time at Bradford but it is time to move on and I am looking forward to coming here," he said.
"Warrington's a team that's on the up. The club wants to win trophies."
Johnson, who joined the Bulls from his home-town club Wigan in 2004, is the second high-profile capture by Warrington following the acquisition of Lions team-mate Adrian Morley from Sydney Roosters.
Johnson played in five Grand Finals and was a member of Bradford's World Club Challenge-winning team earlier this year.
He is the sixth member of the Bulls' 2005 Grand Final-winning team to leave Odsal for a fresh challenge.
Bradford have decided to revert to Sunday afternoons from Friday nights for their home games in 2007 after consulting fans.
