Briers extends contract at Wolves
Lee Briers
Briers, 28, joined Wolves from St Helens in 1997
Warrington captain Lee Briers has pledged his future to Wolves by signing a two-year extension to his contract.

Prop forward Paul Wood and promising loose forward Simon Grix have also been handed new three-year contracts.

"Lee is vitally important to this Warrington side and his new deal gives him a chance to look forward beyond this season," said coach Paul Cullen.

"Paul Wood has progressed and is now a key member of the squad and Simon Grix has proved his worth so far."

Half-back Briers, 28, was only 19 when the Wolves paid 65,000 to sign him from St Helens in 1997.
