Stuart Reardon had been widely expected to join the Wolves |
Warrington have signed Great Britain and Bradford three-quarter Stuart Reardon and Hull winger Richie Barnett Junior for the 2006 season. Reardon, 23, made his Lions debut in last year's Tri-Nations series and has signed a three-year deal after turning down an offer to remain with the Bulls.
Barnett, on loan to Widnes this season, has signed a two-year contract.
Loose forward Paul Noone has also been given a new 12-month contract but winger Dean Gaskell has been released.
"I am delighted to add Stuart to the club," said Warrington coach Paul Cullen.
"He has proved that he has the ability to play and win Grand Finals and compete at the highest international level.
"At 23, we believe that his best years are yet to come.
"Richie has tremendous pace and natural instinctive winger, a great physical presence and is a proven try scorer."
Reardon and Barnett join Paul Rauhihi (North Queensland) and Michael Sullivan (Cronulla) on the Wolves books for 2006.
