Warrington Wolves head coach Paul Cullen has agreed a three-year extension to his contract which was due to expire at the end of the season. "I am honoured to have the opportunity to extend my work with this club going forward," said Cullen.
"This period enables us to target the next phase in our re-development.
"My eyes are cast firmly on the future in conjunction with the further positive development of this club off the field."
Cullen spent 15 seasons as a player with Warrington before moving into coaching after he was forced into retirement through injury eight years ago.
He worked as assistant to Daryl van de Velde at Warrington before taking up his first head coaching position with Whitehaven in 2000.
He took over at Warrington following the sacking of David Plange in August 2002.
The Wolves were involved in a relegation battle when Cullen took over but have improved steadily since.
They reached the Super League play-offs last season and Challenge Cup semi-finals this year.
Warrington chairman Lord Hoyle said: "It is excellent news that Paul Cullen has decided to pledge his future to Warrington Wolves during which time he will continue to strengthen the team with the aim of becoming one of the top sides in Super League.
"This is good for the club and also good for all our loyal fans."
