Head coach John Kear believes Wakefield Trinity Wildcats can reach the Challenge Cup final, after beating Oldham 46-4 in the quarter-final. It was their third win over a National League club in their Cup run after dumping out Salford and Barrow. Kear told BBC Radio Leeds: "There are four good teams in the semis, so if you want to get to the final you have to beat one of those. "It's a great opportunity to reach our first final in 29 years." After avoiding three potential banana skins against in previous rounds, Wakefield will now look to cause an upset of their own in the semis. They could be drawn against holders St Helens, favourites Leeds Rhinos or much-improved Hull FC in Monday's draw. | When you get to the semi-final stage it's at a neutral ground and anything can happen Wakefield coach John Kear | Kear has a history of causing upsets, and it is 10 years since he lead his Sheffield Eagles to a shock Challenge Cup final win over Wigan. "When you get to the semi-final stage it's at a neutral ground and anything can happen," said Kear. "We are just 80 minutes away from the final and that's a big incentive. It's a real achievement for us just to be in the semi-finals."
