Wakefield have signed Liam Finn from Halifax and promoted Mark Applegarth from their own academy side. Finn, 20, can play loose forward or half-back, and made 21 Tetley's Super League appearances for Halifax.
Applegarth is an 18-year-old second-row forward who has been with the Trinity Wildcats for two years.
Chief executive Diane Rogerson said: "Liam started training with the squad this week, and Mark is certainly one to watch."
