Long has been at St Helens for 12 years |
St Helens scrum-half Sean Long has said his final appearance at Knowsley Road was an emotional experience. Long scored a try and set up another for Francis Meli in Saints' 14-10 win over Wigan to progress to the Grand Final against Leeds on Saturday. That will be Long's last game for St Helens before a move to Hull FC. "I had a tear in my eye at the end. I've had some great moments here so to finish with a win is great," Long told the Super League Show. Long added: "I'll miss this old ground, it's been very good to me. Twelve years is a long time. "I really enjoyed the game and it was emotional to play in. "I felt like I held it together well and the boys did brilliantly to win this game."
