Stand-in St Helens coach Dave Rotheram says the sacking of Ian Millward has had no adverse effect on the team. "I think it's made the players' resolve stronger," said Rotheram ahead of Friday's testing trip to Hull.
"The players are very professional and they haven't made any opinions public that would disrupt training. They've just got on with the job.
"I've not heard any whispers from the players. If they've had an opinion, they've kept it to themselves."
Saints have conceded 106 points on their three previous visits to the KC Stadium but are boosted by the return of Vinnie Anderson, Nick Fozzard and Jamie Lyon for the game.
"I think the players, regardless of what has happened off the field, want to put that record straight," said Rotheram.
"That's been their key focus, getting this victory at Hull, which will give us a nice seven-point buffer on our nearest rivals in the table."
