McRae could lose winger Paul White for the rest of the season |
Salford City Reds coach Shaun McRae says the club need more money to improve their squad after they suffered a sixth straight defeat. They lost 48-12 at Hull KR to remain without a win since the opening day of the Super League season. McRae told BBC Radio Manchester: "We don't have any money so that's the problem - I accept that. "That makes it very difficult when you start losing players with injuries and you can't bring any in." Salford are 13th in the table after six straight losses since they beat new boys Celtic Crusaders on the opening day of the season. Meanwhile they could lose winger Paul White for the rest of the season after he was forced off in the first half of the Robins game. "He looks like he's probably gone now with the knee and looks like he may need surgery," McRae said. "Dean McGilvray had to come off with a sort of crippling injury to the kidney pelvic area, and he's probably going to be okay but he was in agony at half time."
