Salford have begun their rebuilding for next season by releasing eight players, among them centre Nathan McAvoy. Simon Baldwin, Andy Johnson and Mark Shipway have not been retained while Stuart Dickens and Neil Baynes have joined Featherstone and Whitehaven.
Andy Smith has rejoined Bradford after a loan spell while stand-off Cliff Beverley has returned to New Zealand.
Salford have so far signed utility back John Wilshere from Leigh and have a host of other recruits in the pipeline.
