Highly-rated Salford forward Andy Coley has signed a new three-year contract. The former Swinton prop was out of contract at the end of the season and had been linked with a move to Wigan.
Coley's decision to stay until the end of 2007 is a timely boost following the about-turn of Duncan McGillivray, who has signed for rivals Wakefield.
"Andy is a high-quality second or front-row forward and they're hard to find these days," said delighted Salford football director Steve Simms.
