Clubb has two England caps |
Harlequins centre Tony Clubb has agreed a new four-year deal which will keep him at The Stoop until the end of 2014. The 23-year-old is a product of the club's academy system. He said: "Harlequins are my hometown club and I didn't think about looking anywhere else. This is where I wanted to stay and I was happy to sign up. "I'm looking forward to playing regularly at the highest level and helping this club to where it should be, winning titles and cups." Quins have also had welcome news about their other first-choice centre David Howell. The Australian centre picked up a collar bone injury in last weekend's 36-12 home defeat by leaders Wigan. And there were initial worries that Howell could miss the rest of the season. But it is now not considered as bad as first feared - and Howell will be out for only for two to three weeks.
