Would like to stay at Harlequins

Harlequins captain Rob Purdham says he would be delighted to sign a new contract to stay at The Stoop.

The 28-year-old England captain is in his seventh season with the club, having joined in 2001 when Quins were known as the London Broncos.

Loose forward Purdham told BBC London 94.9, "If the question arises, I will definitely stay."

Purdham is hoping to return to action in the next couple of weeks after struggling with a hamstring injury.

He added: "I have had a few weeks off so I am trying to get it sorted, I do not think I have been 100% fit from the start of the season."
