Fa'afili was released by Wolves due to salary cap restrictions |
Harlequins have signed former New Zealand winger Henry Fa'afili, Super League's top try-scorer this season. The 27-year-old, who was released by Warrington last month because of salary cap issues, has signed a two-year contract at The Stoop.
"I'm really excited to be moving down to London to join Harlequins," said Fa'afili, who has 20 tries this year.
"We're very excited about having a proven try scorer in the team," head coach Brian McDermott said.
"He's been either the top, or one of the top try scorers in Super League over the last few years.
"As a player he also offers versatility, he can play back row as well as centre and wing.
"It's great that he's keen to come down here and further his career."
Although Samoan born, Fa'afili's professional career kicked off in New Zealand with the Auckland Warriors in 2000, where he stayed until he joined the Wolves late in 2004.
