| Henry Paul scored his first try since returning to rugby league as Harlequins held off Warrington at the Stoop. Early tries from Michael Worrincy and Rob Purdham, goaled by Paul, gave Quins a 12-0 lead they held until half-time. Warrington could not breach the Quins defence until Lee Briers crossed after the break, Quins responding through Pat Weisner, Paul and Solomon Haumono. Tries from Logan Swann, Richie Barnett and Simon Grix (two) made for a nervous finish, but Quins held on for victory. Victory moved them up to seventh place in the Super League table, three points off the play-off spots. Quins coach Tony Rea: "The way they finished just showed the importance of our defence in the early part of the game. "They could have done that to us earlier if we didn't have our heads on. We were very strong as a team. "The chase is on now for a play-off spot. We knew how valuable the two points were today, and I am really happy with the way the blokes applied themselves." Warrington coach Paul Cullen: "We had three tries disallowed but we made eight or nine clear breaks through their line in the first half and failed to score. That is our concern. "We were playing a weakened Quins side but we are very short of confidence at the moment. "But there was enough in the end of the game to offer us a bit of hope."
