Buderus joined Leeds from Newcastle Knights in 2008 |
Leeds Rhinos could be without Danny Buderus for a month and fellow forward Greg Eastwood for even longer after both suffered knee ligament injuries. The pair were injured during Rhinos' 28-24 win over St Helens last weekend. Australia's Buderus will be out for between two and four weeks while New Zealand-born Eastwood faces between six and 10 weeks on the sidelines. But scrum-half Rob Burrow is back after two months out with a knee injury along with Ali Lauitiiti and Luke Burgess. Burrow has not played since suffering his injury at Murrayfield in the Magic Weekend win over Wakefield on 2 May. | Rob Burrow, Ali Lauitiiti and Luke Burgess's return has given everyone a boost |
Lauitiiti has only made one appearance since tearing his calf before the Challenge Cup tie against Hull in April. Burgess has recovered from an ankle injury that has kept him out for six weeks. All three are in Leeds' 19-man squad for Friday's trip to Hull KR. Leeds coach Brian McClennan said: "Unfortunately we have lost Danny Buderus and Greg Eastwood to injury which is disappointing as both were in great form. "However, we are able to include Rob Burrow, Ali Lauitiiti and Luke Burgess in the 19-man squad for the first time in a long while which has given everyone a boost."
