Sinfield is the only Rhinos captain to lead them to two Grand Final wins |
Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield was emotional after 4,217 fans turned up at Headingley for his testimonial. The 27-year-old loose forward scored two tries in the closing stages and also kicked five goals in the 50-4 victory over his home-town club Oldham.
Great Britain player Sinfield joined the Rhinos in 1996 and made his debut at the age of just 16.
"Everybody's supported me in all my time here. This meant a lot to me," said Sinfield.
"I think I would have got a bit of grief off the guys if I hadn't got over. So it was very special and I slipped the Oldham full back a tenner as I ran past," he joked.

The Rhinos' team had just one change to it from the side that beat St Helens in the Super League Grand Final three months ago, with Nick Scrutton replacing the injured Carl Ablett on the bench.
The Rhinos notched up nine tries in all, as centre Keith Senior claimed a hat-trick.
The Rhinos will now step up their preparations for Super League XIII, as they head to their training camp in Florida on Thursday.
While in the United States, the Rhinos will play a friendly against NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs, who are part owned by actor Russell Crowe.
Two players who could miss the camp are injured duo Ryan Bailey (groin) and Ablett (hamstring). Both will be assessed before the trip and coach Brian McClennan has said they will not travel if unfit.
