Sinfield was on top of his game |
Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield put on a virtuoso performance as the Super League champions beat London 18-6 in a pre-season friendly at Headingley. The loose forward scored the first of the Rhinos' three tries and kicked all three conversions, with Keith Senior and Richard Mathers the other scorers.
The Rhinos face Australian side Canterbury Bulldogs at Elland Road on Friday week for the World Club title.
Meanwhile, Salford beat Wigan 20-16 after fighting back from 16-0 down.
Leeds coach Tony Smith was confident that Danny McGuire would be fit to play in the World Club Challenge despite coming off with an injury.
"He started to feel his groin. It was precautionary more than anything. Plus we did some experimentation," he said.
Smith was not fully satisfied with his side's warm-up win ahead of their game against Canterbury.
He added: "It was hard to play in and both teams made far too many errors. But there were a lot of positives."
