Cummins is in his testimonial season at Leeds |
Leeds winger Francis Cummins has been left out of the Rhinos side for the first time in five years. Cummins has been overlooked by new coach Tony Smith in favour of Mark Calderwood and Marcus Bai for Sunday's opening match against London Broncos.
Smith's decision brings Cummins' run of 178 consecutive appearances to an end.
"It was a tough call, but we've gone on the pre-season form," Smith told BBC Radio Leeds. "At the moment we're happy with Calderwood and Bai."
He added: "I'm sure Franny will bounce back, he's a quality person and a quality player."
