KR plan to continue the redevelopment of Craven Park |
Hull Kingston Rovers will give a debut to their new 200,000 floodlights in Saturday night's Super League game against Castleford at Craven Park. The Robins had the lights installed to meet Super League standards after previously using temporary lights. Chief executive Paul Lakin told BBC Radio Humberside: "It's another major investment for the club. "It's a big step forward in terms of meeting the criteria for a licence, we're really pleased we've got them." He added: "The lights are being trialled on Tuesday evening prior to the Castleford game this weekend. They will meet the requirements of the RFL and television. "The floodlights are a key issue and it's been raised on several occasions and anything less than 1,000 Lux [unit of illuminance] is not acceptable." The club say they will release further details about their plans to redevelop Craven Park in the near future.
