Robins sign versatile Lovegrove

Hull KR have boosted their squad by signing St George Illawarra utility player Rhys Lovegrove.

The 20-year-old, who does not count on the overseas quota because he has a British passport, will remain at Craven Park until the end of the season.

"Rhys is a good player and his ability to play both second row and centre will give me more options," said Robins coach Justin Morgan.

Lovegrove could make his debut in next Sunday's derby against Hull FC.

He has never made a senior appearance in the NRL, but has a good reputation from his time in the Australian schools competition.

Lovegrove added: "I'm really looking forward to coming to the UK. I love my footy, Hull Kingston Rovers is well known back home and I can't wait to play at Craven Park."
