Hull will have to recompense Salford for Turner |
Salford City Reds youngster Jordan Turner has turned down a three-year deal with the club and will switch to Hull FC next season. The clubs will now have to agree compensation for the 20-year-old because he is under 22 years of age. The loose forward is the Reds' former academy player of the year and young player of the year for 2007. He made his Super League debut for Salford in 2006 after captaining England at under-18 level. Salford director of football Steve Simms told the club's website: "We believe Jordan Turner is an exceptional talent and we are obviously disappointed he has chosen not to stay with us at the end of his contract after the great investment Salford City Reds have put into his development."
