Webster is waiting to make his debut for his new club |
Hull FC are no closer to knowing if scrum-half James Webster will make his debut against former club Hull KR. The 29-year-old Australian is waiting to receive his British passport after applying for citizenship. FC coach Richard Agar told BBC Radio Humberside they are unsure if he will be able to play: "We're still waiting on it and time's running out. "However we are still hopeful that we'll get the necessary paperwork before the weekend." Webster was hopeful of making his first appearance for his new club against the side he spent four and a half years with, having been released by the Robins earlier this season. And he has now fully recovered from a shoulder injury that contributed to his departure from Craven Park. | I'm really confident that he's a smart enough individual to slot in and play Richard Agar on James Webster | Hull were quick to swoop for the scrum-half once it became clear the injury was not as serious as first thought and after finding out he was in the process of securing British citizenship. Agar added: "He's been [with the club] doing rehab, we've also been able to give him some literature and some video stuff to look at. "We've played for quite a while without recognised half-backs so to have one, whether he's trained with us or not, will help. I'm really confident that he's a smart enough individual to slot in and play."
