Hull FC coach Richard Agar will not wait forever for prop Garreth Carvell to decide on his new contract offer. The Black and Whites have made the 28-year-old former Great Britain international an offer which impacts on other the futures of other players. Agar told BBC Radio Humberside: "We do need decisions as we've got three other out-of-contract props and Garreth signing might have a knock-on effect. "We need to know and I'm sure if you ask Garreth he wants a resolution too." | With offers of this magnitude the player's got to want to play for this club Hull FC coach Richard Agar |
Carvell's campaign has been ruined by injuries and he is out of contract at the end of the year. He only recently returned to action after suffering ruptured knee ligaments in the opening game of the season at home to Warrington. Agar added: "I think we've bent over backwards to try and keep Garreth and we're still hopeful of that. "At the same time I think with offers of this magnitude the player's got to want to play for this club and we're hoping that's still the case with Garreth." Carvell is one of the club's longest serving players having joined at the start of the 2001 season from Leeds Rhinos and has made over 150 appearances for the Black and Whites.
