Hull FC will play their Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in Doncaster on Sunday 27 July. The new Keepmoat stadium is to play host to a major cup semi-final for the first time. The town is ideally situated to host the event being less than a one-hour drive from both cities. Meanwhile Matty Dale, who was on loan at Wakefield, has returned to Hull as cover due to their number of injuries. Wakefield coach John Kear said: "Matty made a great contribution to the squad during his time here. We would have liked to have kept him longer." Tommy Lee faces a race against time to be fit for the semi-final after suffering a knee injury in the quarter-final victory over Bradford Bulls.
