Yeaman pledges loyalty to Hull FC

Hull FC's Kirk Yeaman has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

The 23-year-old centre was out of contract at the end of the current season and had been linked with a move away from the KC Stadium.

But the Great Britain international has agreed to stay with the Black and Whites until 2010.

"I am delighted to have got my future sorted out," said Yeaman. "Despite all the speculation, Hull is the only club I wanted to play for."

Hull FC coach Peter Sharp says Yeaman's signing hands his side a big lift going into Sunday's Super League derby with Hull KR.

"I think this is a massive statement of faith by Kirk and for me it is a terrific boost for the club leading into the weekend's game," he said.

"I am really happy. Kirk is a class player, the kind we're looking to have at this club.

"He's also local and he's a prime example to the youth of this city, what they can achieve if they put in the work and make the commitment. I think this is an outstanding statement."

Yeaman has made 20 appearances for Hull this season, scoring six tries.
