Yeaman scored 23 tries last season despite injury |
Hull's leading try-scorer Kirk Yeaman has promised that he will soon sign a contract extension at the KC Stadium. The 23-year-old, who scored 23 ties last season and is touring with the Great Britain Tri-Nations squad, is out of contract at the end of next season.
"It's crazy to talk about moving. I'm enjoying my rugby, I've got a family and I'm playing for my home-town club. Why would I want to move?" he said.
"The club have promised to talk to me before my contract is up."
Hull chief executive David Plummer echoed the player's confidence that he would be staying at the club.
"Kirk is part of the future of this club," he said.
"He is one of the young stars we are aiming to build our team around to continue the success we've enjoyed over the past two years.
"Although his contract runs out next season, I am confident he will be a Hull FC player in 2008 and beyond."
