Huddersfield have appointed Keiron Purtill as an assistant coach on a two-year deal starting in December.

Purtill is currently part of St Helens' coaching staff, and Giants head coach Jon Sharp said: "Keiron is one of the best young coaches around.

"I worked with him for two years at St Helens and I know he has a great understanding and knowledge of the game plus outstanding work ethic."

Purtill said: "This is a club with great potential on and off the field."
