Schifcofske has been released early from his Ulster contract |
Crusaders have signed Australian full-back Clinton Schifcofske. But he will have to wait for his debut following the late postponement of Thursday's rain-hit Super League match with Harlequins RL at The Gnoll. Schifcofske, 34, was due to make his return from rugby union to league in Crusaders' return to South Wales. But he will now have to wait four days until the Easter Monday trip to Bradford (1500 BST) to make his first appearance for Brian Noble's side. Schifcofske, of Polish descent, scored 1,604 points in a National Rugby League career with Parramatta and Canberra. He switched codes to join Queensland Reds in 2007 and has spent the last two years with Magners League side Ulster. Elliott Kear was the man dropped from the squad for Thursday's scheduled game in Neath to make room for Schifcofske.
