Westerman remains a doubt for the Challenge Cup clash with Halifax

Castleford's 19-year-old loose forward Joe Westerman is back in training after recovering from the head injury he suffered against St Helens last month.

The youngster had to be taken to hospital after suffering a fit.

Tigers coach Terry Matterson said: "He hasn't done any contact yet and he'll need to do three or four days of contact before we consider him.

"He's passed his head tests and things look good. He'll play when he's ready and the doctor says he's OK."

Castleford host Halifax in the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup on Saturday.
