Bradford Bulls hooker Wayne Godwin has committed himself to the club for a further three years.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Bulls from Hull at the start of the year, will stay at Odsal at least until 2011.

"I just wanted to get back to enjoying my rugby again while proving to [coach] Steve McNamara and Bradford what I'm all about," said Godwin.

"I wanted to get settled and stay at a place where I'm happy and I couldn't be happier than I am here."

Godwin, who has also played for Wigan and Castleford, has missed only one game this season.

He added: "The Bulls have given me a three-year extension so hopefully I've started to show what I can do and it's great to sort my long-term future.

His attitude to training, in games and off the field is just first class

Bulls coach Steve McNamara

"I feel there's a lot more to come from me yet. I want to take my game to the next level and feel I can do that with Bradford because of Steve McNamara and the coaches we have here."

Coach Steve McNamara said: "We're delighted. Wayne came here initially for 12 months with a view to seeing if he liked us.

"We liked him and he's been everything we could have asked for.

"His attitude to training, in games and off the field is just first class, his form's been good.

"We think Wayne's best football is still ahead of him and it's great we've got him for another three years."
