McNamara has apologised for his post-match comments |
Bradford coach Steve McNamara has said sorry to officials Steve Ganson and Ashley Klein for remarks about their display in his side's loss to Leeds. But the club have not given up hope of persuading the Rugby Football League to overturn the match result following Jordan Tansey's disputed last-gasp try.
"We at the Bulls are completely happy to have Mr Ganson or Mr Klein officiate at our future games," he said.
"I also apologised to Mr Ganson for comments I made after the game."
After the game McNamara said Ganson had "invented the penalty" which led up to Tansey's late try, and the match referee apologised for allowing the try to stand.
Video referee Klein also said he was in the wrong for his crucial intervention in awarding the penalty.
On Thursday McNamara met both officials and referees' controller Stuart Cummings, and apologised for his remarks about Ganson.
"I have since discovered that he played no part in that decision," he said.
