Bradford faced fierce competition to sign Morrison |
Bradford have confirmed the signing of Parramatta back-row forward Glenn Morrison, 30, on a two-year contract, starting next season. Morrison, who was also wanted by Hull, is head coach Steve McNamara's first signing and will replace Brad Meyers.
"It's a great club - world champions and you can't get much better than that," said Morrison.
"My family are really looking forward to it and as far as I'm concerned, it just can't come around quick enough."
McNamara was delighted to have clinched the signature of the experienced Morrison, who has played 194 games in the NRL.
"Glenn is a fantastic acquisition for the Bulls and we have fought off a lot of clubs to secure his signature," he said.
"I think he will quickly establish himself as a real favourite with both the players and the supporters."
Meanwhile Meyers, who has missed most of the season so far through injury, has confirmed he will return to Australia at the end of the season after two years at Odsal.
"I have some responsibilities back home that I have to start taking but I have really enjoyed my stay at Bradford," he said.
"I am really glad I came over and it's been a part of my life I'll never forget.
"It has also given me back my love of football and I wish the club every success in the future."
