Bradford chairman Chris Caisley will stand down next year after 16 years in charge of the Super League champions. He will leave his position and the board after the World Club Challenge against Wests Tigers on 3 February.
Caisley was instrumental in rugby league's switch to a summer season a decade ago.
He said: "I have been chairman since 1989 and 16 years is a long time, but it is the right time to stand down for many different reasons."
The Bulls have won four Super League titles, two Challenge Cups and two World Club Challenges in the last decade.
"Throughout the lengthy period of my chairmanship I have always had in mind the best interests of the club and our fantastic supporters," added Caisley.
"I firmly believe that the time is right for us to close this particular chapter in the club's history and move forward positively into the second decade of Super League."
