The Rugby Football League will launch an investigation into an incident where missiles were thrown from the crowd in Friday's Super League semi-final.

The objects were cast in the direction of Wigan players during their 42-18 win against Hull KR at the DW Stadium.

The RFL will look at reports from referee Richard Silverwood and match commissioner David Campbell.

Video evidence from the Preliminary semi-final will also be studied and both clubs will be asked to respond.
