Hull KR (20) 49 Tries: Fox 3, Latus, Clinton, Newton 2, Briscoe 2 Goals: Dobson 6 Drop: Dobson
Bradford (8) 24 Tries: Reardon, Finigan 2, Kopczak, L'Estrange Goals: Addy 2
Bradford suffered a club record 10th successive defeat after Hull KR proved too strong in a scrappy encounter at Craven Park. Peter Fox's hat-trick proved key for the Robins while there were doubles for Clint Newton and Shaun Briscoe. The Bulls threatened a second-half fightback after quickfire tries by Craig Kopczak and Heath L'Estrange. But the Robins held strong to win and move above Huddersfield into sixth while Bradford's misery continues.
Hull KR coach Justin Morgan said: "I wasn't overly impressed with the way we played. But two points is what you require, and we got that. "There was a pressure after losing last week, with us wanting to bounce back. We got the points and that is the main thing. "I can't imagine it was a great spectacle. But we did the job and will come back next week and do the job again. "The 49 points were pleasing and although we lost momentum at times, we never lost the ascendancy." Bradford caretaker coach Lee St Hilaire said: "I think it is unfair for the players to carry the can. They've been thrown in at the deep end as I have. "If you were to slide a couple of them into the top four sides you wouldn't be worried about them. They'll be good for the future but it's not fair for them to carry the can for what happens. "There's a lot of edginess in our play, we've lost 10 on the bounce and we're having to field a lot of young players at the moment. "We had a lot of defence to do in the first half; they had the ball for about 30 minutes. When you fatigue your shape goes out of the window."
