Myler's hat-trick topped off a fine all-round performance by the scrum-half
A Richie Myler hat-trick inspired nine-try Warrington to a convincing win over Castleford Tigers.
Chris Riley opened Wolves' account ahead of Myler (2), Adrian Morley and Ryan Atkins with only Kirk Dixon crossing for Tigers before the break.
Joe Westerman (2), Michael Wainwright, Ryan Clayton and Steve Snitch crossed for the visitors.
But scores by Richie Mathers, Chris Hicks, David Solomona and Myler's third killed off Tigers' challenge.
Warrington's victory cuts Wigan's lead at the head of Super League to four points.
Wolves rode their luck throughout the match and at times - especially during a six-minute second-half spell when the visitors ran in three tries - their defence looked fragile.
The half-time score flattered the home side who failed to outclass their opponents but did seize every chance that came their way.
Castleford rallied briefly after the break to reel in their hosts but Warrington kept on scoring and with Ben Westwood's faultless kicking display, it all proved too much for the Yorkshiremen.
Warrington boss Tony Smith: "There was some great attacking rugby there, it was a good entertaining game.
"For people who like to watch tries there were plenty scored. I enjoyed it, it was a good open game of rugby league.
"I'm not surprised about that, both teams like to throw the ball around and both teams have some dangerous players, both teams have been scoring some points for some time.
"We knew Cas were going to be a dangerous team, they've been dangerous all year and had won their last four games. We could have easily slipped up."
Castleford coach Terry Matterson: "It was a tough day at the office and it got a bit hard for us.
"I just think it was one game too many for us, we were a little bit too soft and did a few things wrong with the ball. In the end they were too good for us. It was one game too many.
"When you're playing a game like this you have to be stronger in the tackle, what they did in the first 10 minutes really told throughout the rest of the game."
