Injury-hit Warrington dug deep in the second half to claim a hard-fought win over Salford.
Henry Fa'afili, Paul Rauhihi (2), Brent Grose, Andy Bracek and Mike Wainwright all went over with Lee Briers kicking five goals on his return from injury.
Salford grabbed three tries in the last five minutes through Stuart Littler, Daley Williams and David Hodgson.
But John Wilshere could only add one out of three conversions and the Wolves held on for a priceless win.
Salford boss Karl Harrison "We got a bit soft defensively and gifted Warrington some really soft tries which took the game away from us.
"We rallied towards the end but you can't play soft for a 10-minute spell in this game or it comes back to bit you like it did today.
"We also blew far too many chances and at this level you have to take your points when they come along."
Warrington coach Paul Cullen (on the return of captain Lee Briers) "We are very glad to have Lee back. He passed a very late fitness test and he has marshalled his team very well and we have done enough to win a very tough game.
"The group has worked exceptionally well and worked very hard for each other to fashion the win."
"We won't over-concern ourselves with the points we shipped in at the back end of the game because we put a lot of effort in to get in front at 34-18. The bottom line is we came for the win, and we are going home with it."
