Warrington edged to a narrow win over Hull FC thanks to a late drop-goal from Lee Briers at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday.
Exploiting Paul Rauhihi's sin-binning, Hull went 12-0 ahead after tries from Richard Whiting and Lee Radford.
The Wolves hit back to go into the break level, and it was nip-and-tuck in the second half.
Matt Sing's 74th-minute try was converted by Paul Cooke to level at 24-24 before Briers's late effort.
Hull, who reached last season's Grand Final, are still seeking their first win of Super League XII.

Rauhihi's sin-binning for dissent after 14 minutes handed the initiative to the visitors, and they made no mistake with a slick passing move sending Whiting over from the tap penalty.
Cooke, making his return after knee ligament damage, then sent up a spiralling bomb which was spilled by Stuart Reardon allowing Radford to score.
But Warrington responded well with Michael Sullivan dummying his way over and the influential Briers added a second on 28 minutes.
After the break, Clarke put the Wolves ahead for the first time with Briers providing the scoring pass.
Clarke and Martin Gleeson combined to put Vinnie Anderson in for their next score, but Raynor stopped the rot with a try for Hull on 63 minutes.
Whiting worked an opening for Sing to continue his prolific tryscoring form, with the scores levelled by Cooke's conversion.
But a knock-on from Paul King ultimately proved costly for Hull, as Warrington worked their way forward for Briers to land his vital drop-goal.
Hull FC boss Peter Sharp: "It was a great game of rugby league and a vast improvement by us.
"But we turned the ball over five times near our own line and you can't do that against a team of Warrington's skill.
"We need to smarten up and there was a lot of frustration. We need to keep improving and eliminate the errors."
Warrington coach Paul Cullen: "We weren't at our best and the scoreline was closer than it should have been.
"But we're very glad we have Lee Briers. He is a very focused individual and, more often than not, the bloke delivers.
"We didn't panic but a lot of guys did not play to their usual standard in the first half.
"I was disappointed with our discipline and that has to improve."
