Kear took over at the beginning of August and has led the Wildcats to three wins from five matches to give them the chance to stay up. �

Meanwhile, Salford's Luke Robinson was named Super League player of the month.

Robinson hit top form as the Reds booked a first ever appearance in the Super League play-offs.
