St Helens ran in 10 tries as they thrashed Huddersfield just three weeks before the teams are due to meet in the Challenge Cup final at Twickenham.
Jamie Lyon scored the first try after a slick five-man move in the ninth minute and then set up Keiron Cunningham.
Stuart Jones touched down Robbie Paul's grubber kick for the Giants but Saints went into half-time 30-4 up.
The points avalanche continued after the break and by the end, 10 different Saints players had scored tries.
Skipper Paul Sculthorpe played all 80 minutes on his return from injury and scored two goals.
St Helens coach Daniel Anderson
"I don't think Huddersfield were really
there mentally and we won't be reading too much into this result. "We scored some nice tries and that was good for morale and for our scoring
difference in the table.
"But it won't have much credence for Twickenham."
Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp
"St Helens were emotionally and physically very strong. Emotionally we were not right and hopefully it will be a different story in the final. "We will start as massive underdogs and will have nothing to lose."
